So Cold - Tessa
Tessa slumped backwards in her seat, she was dateless and was wondering why she bothered coming to the dance. She tapped her fingers against the side of her butterbeer, she lost count of which one she was on but she was feeling slightly warm and fuzzy so she didn’t bother about it much. She took another mouthful, watching all the happy couples dancing with a glum expression. She missed Charlie and wished that she could go back in time and stop herself from kissing Jess and costing herself the greatest thing that had ever happened to her. I wish I had one of my potions, she thought mournfully. She played with the skirt of her dress for a moment, lost in thought. Tessa tensed slightly when she noticed a human shaped shadow stand over her and forced a bright smile on her face before looking up. “Hello,” she said in a forced cheerful tone.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered. “I don’t know, I just…” she trailed off with a shake of her head, “I don’t think it’s a good idea for us to be together.” She swallowed, looking down at her lap, “I mean, if I hadn’t asked you out then you probably would have went with Meg to the ball, I saw you talking to each other when you went to get drinks, and maybe you would have preferred to go with her instead of me.” Chocolate’s a girl’s bestfriend - Tessa & Jess
Tessa forced a bright, fake smile at Jess, “Just got out of the Hospital Wing and decided to come get some food but the Elves only had chocolate goods so…” she gestured to the cookiepop in her hand. “Baking?” she asked, eyeing the treats in Jess’s arms, “Are you drowning your feelings in delicious treats like I am?”
“Uhh never mind, how are things with you then, Jess?” Tortoise Help - Tessa & Garth
Tessa was sitting in the middle of a fort of files, she was desperately trying to find something which would be helpful to Garth and was coming up short. She grimaced and grabbed another file at random and paused noticing the file lacked a title but had a list of initials on the page. She pulled her wand out and tapped the initials AF. The initials unravelled like a carpet, revealing the name, Alice Fenugreek. “Garth!” she yelled, she stood up but was blocked by her fort of files, “I found something!” She quickly tripped her way out the fort of files and bolted out the library when she noticed that Garth had left. She let out a noise of frustration but quickly noticed him turning at the end of the corner and ran after him, “I found something!” Chocolate’s a girl’s bestfriend - Tessa &
Tessa stared mournfully at the mug of hot chocolate infront of her, she was hiding in the kitchen with the house elves. They were very eager to feed her several treats which included chocolate, muffins, candy, cake and several mugs of hot chocolate. She absently chewed on a muffin, tearing small pieces off at a time. She had gotten out the hospital wing a few hours earlier, the nurse had kept her an extra night just to make sure she wasn’t going to drop into a coma. She felt hollow and empty, no amount of chocolate could make her feel better, because the inevitable had finally happened. Charlie had broken up with her. Her throat suddenly felt tight, her eyes burned at the memory. She shuddered and after a quick glance around the kitchen, took a mouthful of potion which she had stored in her bag. The fake happiness travelled through her veins, making her feel better even if it wouldn’t stop the memory from repeating itself like a mantra in her mind. Her head snapped up when she heard footsteps heading her way. “Hello?” she called, uncertainly. Tortoise Help - Tessa & Garth
“Okay,” Tessa nodded, wondering where she should start. She stood up and wandered over to the dusty old records section, it was mostly filled with family blood lines and marriages but there were a few other documents which would hopefully be of use. Tessa exhaled and grabbed the first file she saw. Swan Song - Tessa & Charlie
Tessa swallowed, letting out a shaky breath she whispered, “I kissed Jessica Moore.” It was like a dam had been destroyed inside of her because she found herself sobbing harder and stuttering out everything that had happened. “I-it st-started with M-Meg, I h-had heard some r-rumours about you t-two and I a-asked her about th-them and she j-just s-said some stuff a-about you only saying y-yes to me because you c-couldn’t stand m-making anyone c-cry,” she wailed, “a-and that y-you o-only c-c-continued to d-date me because y-you felt s-s-sorry for me a-and th-that you’d l-loose in-interest and ch-choose h-her.” She took a deep breath before continuing, “A-and y-you were always s-spending so m-much time w-with her and I c-couldn’t g-get her words o-out my head, a-and th-then Jess w-was b-b-being n-nice and c-comforting a-and sh-she d-d-didn’t j-judge m-me for f-feeling j-jealous a-and a-a-alone s-so I k-kissed h-her.” “I’m so s-sorry, C-Charlie, I r-really am.” |
